Fourth annual Family Day
at Cayuga June 28 hosts
PMRA Pro Modifieds
CAYUGA, ONTARIO (April
17, 2008) - A tradition
in the Pro Modified Racing
Association will once again
be held this year.
The Fourth Annual KC Auto
Day Family Spectacular
will return to Toronto
Motorsports Park in Cayuga,
Ontario June 28 to host
the PMRA's second event
of 2008.
"
This event has turned into
a great deal for not only
the racers, but the fans
and their families," said
regular PMRA competitor
and KC Auto Parts owner
Kasey Janzen of St. Catharines,
Ontario. "We really
enjoy the day, and most
important, we're here to
have fun and hope that
everyone that comes out
has a good time."
Kasey Janzen added he expects
a big turnout of spectators
and racers at the event,
which he hosts for his
customers, friends, and
family. Between 100 and
150 guests attend.
"
To have KC Auto Parts return
for the fourth year in
a row is a big boost for
this day," said PMRA
Director of Operations
Bruce F. Mehlenbacher. "This
show draws the largest
contingent of Pro Modified
teams annually and the
PMRA is proud and pleased
to have them to be a part
of this event."
The PMRA Pro Modifieds
will highlight the Saturday
racing at Cayuga. The OSCA
will be holding its Canada
Day Shootout, and the track
will also feature some
jet car racing.
PMRA tour stops in 2008
include two dates at Toronto
Motorsports Park in Cayuga,
Ontario, New York International
Raceway Park and Dunn Tire
Raceway Park in New York,
Sanair in Quebec, and the
Southwestern Ontario track
of Grand Bend Motorplex.

Janzen returns to PMRA
driving
the KC Motorsports Lumina
Former PMRA champion
ready "to
have some fun"

More photos of KC Motosports
ST. CATHARINES,
ONTARIO (January 15, 2008)
- Kasey Janzen is returning
to
the driver's seat.
The veteran racer and founding
Pro Modified Racing Association
(PMRA) member will get
behind the wheel of the
KC Motorsports Lumina in
2008.
For 2007, Janzen had
fellow PMRA driver
Joe Lilienthal
of Kenmore, New York
drive his car.
"
This year will about the
same as last year," said
the 2006 PMRA co-champion. "Except
I'm going to drive."
And other that some
engine work, Janzen
stated the
car and team will be
pretty much as last
year. Craig
Masterson will continue
as the team's crew
chief.
With main sponsorship
from KC Auto Parts,
John Bear,
Wix Filters, Raybestos,
and AutoFX, the KC
Motorsports Chevrolet
Lumina is powered
by a Keith Black 526-cubic
inch supercharged engine,
couple to a three-speed
Lenco transmission.
Janzen has had some
engine work
done by Carl Spiering
and his ERD (Engine
Research & Development)
racing engine facility,
adding he should get
down the track quicker
this
year.
"
Carl's had the engine in
for some tune-up," he
said. "I'm sure
it's going to have
a lot more
power."
The KC Motorsports team
will be entering its fourth
year of PMRA competition
when it takes to Toronto
Motorsports Park drag strip
May 17 and 18 for the Victoria
Day Weekend - PMRA Challenge,
the opening round in the
2008 PMRA tour.
And Janzen said there will
not be any big changes
when the team rolls the
Lumina out of the trailer.
"
We've got no big plans
for this year," he
said. "We're just
going to come out and
have some fun."
PMRA tour stops in 2008
include two dates at Toronto
Motorsports Park in Cayuga,
Ontario, Lancaster Raceway
Park in New York State,
Sanair in Quebec and the
Southwestern Ontario track
of Grand Bend Motorplex.
Negotiations are underway
with several US race tracks
based in Michigan, New
York, Ohio and Pennsylvania
with the plan of presenting
a seven-event PMRA drag
racing series this season.
